(Sorry it's taken so long to post this) 1.7 is out! It has been dubbed "The update that changed the world" and you will soon see why.

With these new biomes, new blocks and plants have been added. There are now 2 new wood types, Acacia and Old Wood. As well as these they have added Podzol (a strange type of dirt), red sand, packed ice (a less transparent version of ice), two block high grass and ferns, and new flowers, alot of them. They also removed the rose flower (NOOO!!!) and replaced it with a poppy flower.
*Fishing Rods and the fishing mechanic itself has been revamped. There are now 3 more fish you can get, salmon, pufferfish and clownfish. Don't eat the pufferfish!!! It will give you hunger and poison and will make you feel awful. However they do have a use. Add them to a awkward potion and you get a potion of water breathing! As well as getting fish from fishing, you can get random loot such as rotten flesh and tripwire hooks. If you're lucky you might be able to get something like a enchantment book or a saddle! You can also get 2 new enchants for you're fishing rods, lure, which increases you're catch rate, and luck of the sea, which improves you're chance of getting rare loot.
